Summertime is berry-picking time in this area. Loads of blackberries beckon locals as well as visitors with visions of homemade jams, jellies, and syrups! At the High Country Inn you can even put your harvest up into canned juice to make up later!

Cavendish Sporting Clays
Discover the fun of shotgun sports!
12 miles northwest of Orofino, Idaho, we have a shotgun sporting clays range
located on our grain farm where we throw clay targets of different sizes and types.
Some simulate rabbits hopping away, while others simulate different bird hunting
situations. We have flushing pheasant 108mm targets, springing teal 90mm (thrown
straight up), quail 60mm flying away, crossing targets from different directions
and incoming targets to name a few. At one station the shooter can even sit in a
“duck blind” and have clay targets imitate ducks or geese coming in to land.
Snake River Adventures, Kirby Creek Lodge & Adventures Afloat
Snake River Adventures Hells Canyon Tours offers white water rafting, jet boat tours, overnight excursions, guided hunting or fishing. Take a jet boat ride on the wild side, hunt and fish in Hells Canyon.
