The High Country Inn specializes in small intimate weddings, as well as medium-sized groups, from a party of 8 to a group of 100 or more. Weddings can be held inside the inn, or when weather is nice, in the sunken garden or even on the hillside with a view to the mountains across the river. We help you make your very special event as perfect as can be, from the ambience, the delicious food, and the wonderful accommodations for immediate family. More Information here! Children and pets are always welcome.Pet Policy: Pets must be well-trained and have their own bed and crate, and are not to be allowed on beds or other furniture. A $25 charge is made if pets stay in the guest's room, to allow for extra cleaning. An outdoor kennel is also available free of charge when guests are away. Owners are asked to please clean up after their dogs. The luxurious cabins nestled among ponderosa pines give guests the sense of being in the woods away from busy city life, and an outdoor hot tub, horseshoe pit, walking trails with benches at two spots to rest and take in the beauty of the area, and the new Catawampus Room offering a full array of indoor games, provide plenty to do. The High Country Inn is only minutes from Idaho's Highway 12. The drive along Idaho's Clearwater River Valley from Orofino, Idaho through Ahsahka brings you into the world of a rustic, yet elegant, Pacific Northwest bed and breakfast - the perfect mountain retreat!
furniture, offer accommodations for couples as well as families and groups up to
six in number in each unit. The inn has two private bedrooms indoors, and also
offers dining for the public most weekends during the year. For the summer
months, outdoor dinners and concerts are offered in the inn's Sunken Garden, and
outdoor dining is also held on the deck overlooking the Clearwater River.
A game of billiards, darts, or challenging board games, as well as watching the TV/DVD, or listening to Sirius radio while reading from the inn's library provide hours of entertainment, especially in inclement weather. The Catawampus Room also boasts a kitchenette where beverages and snacks can be prepared, and a laundry center in case there's a need to wash. For extended stays, full meal service is available in the inn, prepared by Innkeeper and Chef Jo Moore.

The
Inn's Bennington 25 foot pontoon boat, manned by innkeepers Dick and Jo Moore, is available for summer cruises on Dworshak Lake from mid-June through September, weather permitting. This beautiful boat accommodates up to 15 or 16 passengers, and can be booked to include a meal as well as just an excursion around the lovely pristine waters of Dworshak Reservoir, which is 55 miles long! Custom Cruise Packages can be booked, which include meals, overnight lodging, cruise, and all amenities of the inn. Details will be worked out at time of booking. Prices range from $240 to $300 which includes lodging, meals, and cruise.
